RFL Discussion Group

This morning's Discussion Group

Lady Medussa and Allen

Miss Destiny and Silk

This Sunday's Discussion Group was all about how cancer affects our lives. I know its been a tough weekend for some, and the topic is a difficult one. I thank everyone who attended and a special thank you to Miss Destiny for leading, and Lady Cera for assisting. Destiny also put together some links and other info that everyone should take a moment to read (see below).

I'd also like to send out a special thank you to Billy Mesmer, who dazzled us with a beautiful musical performance right after the discussion. Thank you Billy! You amaze me!

Following this weekend's RLF events in aid of The American Cancer Society and the discussion group today, I am enclosing some very useful websites regarding cancer.

The most common symptom of testicular cancer is swelling or a hard, pea-sized lump on one testicle. Other symptoms include:

a pulling sensation or feeling of unusual heaviness in the scrotum
a dull ache in the groin or lower abdomen
pain or discomfort (which may come and go) in the testicle or scrotum
collection of fluid in the scrotum (called a hydrocele)
feeling unwell and tired
Very rarely, if the cancer is at a later stage, symptoms can include breast tenderness, back pain, shortness of breath and coughing up blood.

These symptoms don't always mean you have testicular cancer, but see your doctor if you're concerned.
