Bedtime Stories Returns!

We are going to be doing another round of Bedtime Stories, starting this Wednesday at 5:30 pm SLT. Lady Syriana is going to be reading, "The Claiming Of Sleeping Beauty" at the Confessions Bar. Come in your jammies and join us each week as Lady Syriana treats us to a chapter of this well known book. See you there!

My Mr. Maz

So I plan to continue my little tributes through the month of Ocotober. My next one, my most special one, is to my love and wonderful partner Maztor Giles.

Maz and I have been together almost two years. We met in the most banal of places, Neva (if you are not familiar with it, it is a dance/sex club that is frequented by newbies and those who are amused by them). I was about two weeks old and wandering around in a men's suit, which I thought looked cool, and my freebie skin and hair. Up until that point, I had had little if no real interaction, although truth be told I had been on a poseball or two. Maz was older, MUCH older, having been in SL since 2005. He was wearing a tuxedo and looked very out of place. Our first conversation is lost to me now, but went something like this:

Maz: Hi there. I like your suit.
Me: Uh, thanks. Nice tuxedo. Are you a waiter here?
Maz: Yes.
Me: Well then. Get busy and get me a glass of champagne.

Maz then magically produced a glass of champagne, which impressed me to no end, being a newbie and all. We were off and running.

Maz and I took a few months to get 'together' officially. The truth of the matter is, he wasn't that interested in me. I, on the other hand, was VERY interested in him. But I played it cool and tried not to appear too pushy, giving him the time to figure out how wonderful I am :P. While Maz was busy getting his head out of ass, I spent my time roaming the halls of the BDSM places (this was before I had discovered the Femdom scene), and even had another relationship or two.

Slowly, finally, Maz started to take me more seriously. The turning point came when I rented my first house in SL, a beach house in a tropical setting. Maz started to come around, emoting the 'knock, knock', before he came in for a visit. Soon he started coming around every day and we started staying up all night talking.

A short time after, I bought my first piece of land, a little island. I put up a house and Maz came along with me. It was on the beach of this little island that Maz first told me loved me, and then promptly logged off while I stood there grinning. I'll never forget it. We've been together ever since.

Over time Maz has come in to the world of D/s and Femdom as I've explored and eventually became integrated in to some of these communities. It's not Maz's scene, but he's been great, supporting me and trying to learn more about the groups I've been involved with. He often feels left out or excluded, being neither Dom or sub, and I am grateful that he is still willing to be here.

Many of you know that Maz does almost all of our graphics here at Dominion, as well as our Youtube videos and a variety of other design jobs. What you may not know is how much he helps me in other areas, by listening to me complain, letting me bounce ideas off of him, hearing me cry, laugh, bitch, the whole gamut. He is the one who stays up all night with me when a job needs to get done. He's the one who I turn to when I have a problem and need help. He's my support, my love, my friend, my partner. I love him for standing by me when I haven't always been so easy to be around, for putting up with my shit, for caring about stuff just because I care about it. In every sense of the word, he has been my partner in my life and with Dominion.

Over this past weekend I received many congratulations and compliments. I share all of those with our staff and regular members who are here helping out everyday. I also share them with Maz, our Artificer and my partner, who is always there, unflinchingly, day after day, loving me, supporting me, and being generally amazing. He's so talented, so kind, so smart, so fun, so wonderful, and I am so lucky he chooses to be with me. He's a big part of our success. Maz, thank you for everything you do for Dominion and for me. I won't say I couldn't do it without you, but it wouldn't be half as good or half as fun if I did. I love you.

Sunday's Discussions

Yesterday we held our monthly Mistress Mentoring and Subs Discussion Groups. After a very busy Saturday everyone was ready for some quiet time. Thank you to our liaisions for hosting the subs discussion, and to Miss Destiny and Lady Syriana for hosting our Mistress Mentoring Group. As much as I enjoy the fun we have here, our mentoring programs are to me the most rewarding and important thing we do at Dominion. Thank you all for coming out!

Earlier this week Lady Eloise orchestrated the most gorgeous suprise party for me with my favourite music and a beautiful set (see her beautiful post on our Style blog). It was an amazing evening and I was so impressed by the thoughtful details including a lovely sign designed by Russell, and the gorgeous set that Lady Eloise put togther with Lady Ravanys. It was a wonderful night.

So you can imagine my surprise when I was called back to the sim after Saturday's rally, only to find it packed to capacity and a huge party planned in my honour. The setup was amazing with a beautiful stage designed by Eroyan, the lovely invite pictured above designed by Russell, the gorgeous photo by Lady Janice, and so much more! I was moved beyond words that so many of you had gone to so much trouble for me. Thank you!

The event started off with Lady Zarita giving a wonderful speech that I believe included calling me a beaver (I would expect nothing less). It then followed with a hilarious performance by the Dominion Cheerboys, replete with pink shorts and pom poms. Miss Destiny then took the stage and performed two songs live, including this lovely reworking of 'Thank You For The Music', by ABBA:

THANK YOU FOR DOMINION

The Dominion is special, it's a fact that you cannot ignore
We have lots of fun, like we've never had on SL before
Eva has a talent, a wonderful thing
Cos everyone loves her, even when she sings
We're so grateful and proud
All we want is to sing it out loud ~~~~(chorus - all sing)
SO WE SAY
THANK YOU FOR DOMINION, EVEN YOUR SINGING
THANKS FOR ALL THE JOY IT’S BRINGING
WHO CAN LIVE WITHOUT IT? I ASK IN ALL HONESTY
WHAT WOULD LIFE BE? WITHOUT OUR COLLARS AND CUFFS, WHO ARE WE?
SO WE SAY, THANK YOU FOR DOMINION, FOR GIVING IT TO ME
~~~~
Eva says 'awesome', 'godammit' whenever she talks
Mmm, she says lots of things like 'for the love of God'
But, I've often wondered, how did it all start?
Who found that Eva, can capture our hearts like nobody else can?
Maybe ,whoever it was is now banned!
~~~~(chorus - all sing)
SO WE SAY
THANK YOU FOR DOMINION, EVEN THE SINGING
THANKS FOR ALL THE JOY IT’S BRINGING
WHO CAN LIVE WITHOUT IT? I ASK IN ALL HONESTY
WHAT WOULD LIFE BE? WITHOUT OUR COLLARS AND CUFFS, WHO ARE WE?
SO WE SAY, THANK YOU FOR DOMINION, FOR GIVING IT TO ME. ~~~~
I’ve been so lucky, I am the Dom with a jiggly breasts
I want to sing it out to everybody
What a joy, what a life, what a pair!
~~~
Chorus – repeat
THANK YOU FOR DOMINION, EVEN THE SINGING
THANKS FOR ALL THE JOY IT’S BRINGING
WHO CAN LIVE WITHOUT IT? I ASK IN ALL HONESTY
WHAT WOULD LIFE BE? WITHOUT OUR COLLARS AND CUFFS, WHO ARE WE?
SO WE SAY, THANK YOU FOR DOMINION, FOR GIVING IT TO ME. SO WE SAY THANK YOU FOR DOMINION, FOR GIVING IT TO ME!
It was hilarious, moving, wonderful..amazing. Thank you Destiny! I love you!
Then..if that wasn't enough....Destiny then tp'd in Tone, one of my favourite live performers in SL for an earth shattering live performance! What a day!
A few little birdies have told me that Lady Zarita was a big force behind this event, so a BIG thank you and my love to her for all of her hard work (she HAND DELIVERED 2000 INVITES!!!). Thank you also to everyone who was involved in this project including:
Eroyan Barmy ..stage (spectacular!)
Russel Applemoore : Invitation
Eloise Mureaux:DJ Music
Dave Shippe: Sponsoring Tone
Ravanys Lavandel and Cole: graphic and art work
Janice Jupiter: Surreptisous photograph making
Syriana Paine: Music liason
Daniel Ash: endless invitation delivery.
Destiny Dewdrop: Artistic skill.
Loth Siamendes: Dominion Cheerboy coordination, choreography, costumery and rounding up!the Cheerboys!
I love all of you guys!
I want to say a special thank you to Lady Ravanys Lavendel and her boy Cole for doing one of the most touching and wonderful things I've ever had done for me in my life.....a giant card with notes from many of you reflecting on Dominion and our past year. The design was gorgeous and the time, effort, and thoughtfulness put in to it was astounding. Thank you to both of them for the lovely tribute, and to all of you who took time to send notes. Its one of my most prized possessions in any world.
If I have forgotten to thank someone by name, please forgive me. I am the luckiest person on earth to have so many people who care enough to do something like this for me. I am grateful to all of you who worked on this project, named or not, and to everyone who came out, sent me IMs or notecards. I appreciate your thanks, but in truth, its me who is indebted to all of you who have chosen to take my empty sim and collection of prims, and turn it in to something magical. I love you!
